Wetlands Ecology and Delineation

I took a wetland ecology course at the University of Connecticut that focused on applied field methods. The course allowed us to ask research questions about the real world. My group examined correlations between wetland salinity and surrounding impervious surface cover percentages to assess potential urbanization effects. The course also provided training in wetland delineation, which included hydric soil identification, hydrophytic vegetation assessment, and wetland hydrology indicators.
